The Gulf Coast Consortium (GCC) in theoretical and computational neuroscience has held an annual conference since 2003. Our interdisciplinary, multi-institutional program aims to train researchers to apply tools from mathematics, physics, and engineering to solve problems in neuroscience. Faculty within the program collaborate on projects that combine experimental and computational approaches. This collective reaches between six leading research institutions: Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, University of Houston, UT-Health Science Center, UTMB-Health, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. It is in this spirit that we have invited a variety of leading experimentalists and theorists to present cutting-edge results in neuroscience.
