The School of Biomedical Sciences at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor (or Assistant Professor) position in the area of Neuroscience starting Sept 1, 2014.  The successful candidate is expected to have a strong record of research geared towards biomedically relevant topics and be able to successfully compete for external funding. There is an expectation for leadership opportunities associated with this position. We seek outstanding candidates who will be able to contribute to the development of new interdisciplinary curricula and research initiatives in the School of Biomedical Sciences. Successful candidate will teach courses in their area of expertise in the School of Biomedical sciences and pursue a research program involving graduate/undergraduate students. The individual will actively participate in the development and implementation of degree programs in Translational Biomedical Sciences.

General Information:

The recently established School of Biomedical Sciences is a multidisciplinary home for new biomedical initiatives and currently consists of one program, the BS in Translational Biomedical Sciences that will admit its first class of undergraduate students in fall 2014. The program is delivered by several faculty members with joint appointments in departments within the College of Science and Mathematics.  It also provides opportunities to collaborate with both the allopathic and osteopathic medical schools at Rowan University.
