[Comp-neuro] 20 Years of Computational Neuroscience - book announcement -

For those that might be interested, I wanted to announce the publication of a book intended to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the CNS meeting titled:

"20 Years of Computational Neuroscience"

The 9th volume in a special series on Computational Neuroscience published by Springer.

The book includes contributed articles intended to summarize what we have and haven't learned about nervous system function over the last 20 years through the application of computational techniques.  It also includes chapters on the history of the CNS meeting itself, including a chapter reproducing and annotating (for the first time), the original CNS meeting posters.

My own scientific contribution to the book is a chapter on the importance of the development of "community models" using the history of modeling the cerebellar Purkinje cell as an example.
