As part of the Simulation Visualization and Real Time computing NSF sponsored center (SiViRT –http://sivirt.utsa.edu) at UTSA the Imaging group is looking for a postdoctoral fellow. The postdoc will work in developing computational algorithms in the laboratory of Prof. Agaian in the department of Electrical and Computational Engineering (http://engineering.utsa.edu/~sagaian/ ) and apply them to the analysis of two-photon 3D images collected in the laboratory of Dr. Santamaria (http://www.utsa.edu/santamarialab/). This collaboration requires extensive knowledge of image processing. As part of this collaboration the postdoc will be able to develop programs and interfaces to be used in the large visualization facilities at UTSA (http://vislab.utsa.edu). Experience with Matlab is highly desirable and some knowledge of neurobiology. The initial appointment will be for one and a half years, with a possibility of renewal contingent upon funding and satisfactory performance. Please submit a CV and statement of research interests to Dr. Fidel Santamaria (fidel.santamaria@utsa.edu), The University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas 78249. For general questions, please contact Mr. Ben Campos (ben.campos@utsa.edu), Center Coordinator, SiViRT Computation Center, One UTSA Circle, San Antonio, TX 78244.
