[Comp-neuro] New Frontiers Research Topic: "Emergent neural computation from the interaction of different forms of plasticity”

A new Frontiers Research Topic, "Emergent neural computation from the interaction of different forms of plasticity",  is open for abstracts submission.

This Research Topic aims to bring together recent advances in the theoretical modelling of different plasticity mechanisms and of their contribution to circuit function.
Topics of interest include the computational roles of plasticity of inhibitory circuitry, metaplasticity, intrinsic plasticity, synaptic scaling, plasticity within the dendritic arbor.
Of particular relevance are studies demonstrating how the interplay between different forms of plasticity contributes to circuit function.

The idea behind this research topic is to create an organized, comprehensive collection of several contributions, as well as a forum for discussion and debate.
Contributions can be articles describing original research, methods, hypothesis & theory, opinions, etc.

Deadline for abstract submission:    06 Sep 2013
Deadline for full article submission: 15 Feb 2014

Best wishes,

Cristina Savin
