[Comp-neuro] Several postdoctoral positions are available in Computational Neuroscience at LSUHSC

Apologies for cross posting.

Several postdoctoral positions are available immediately in Computational Neuroscience to study the nonlinear dynamics of single neurons and neural networks at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Topics  range from synchrony and patterning in the presence of noise and heterogeneity using phase resetting techniques, to integration of synaptic inputs in dendrites, to the interaction between intrinsic  and synaptic dynamics in the generation of the firing pattern. Active collaborations with experimentalists and clinicians  provide an opportunity to analyze biological data in order to formulate and test hypotheses.  A PhD in engineering, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, computer science or a related field  is required. Some  background in neuroscience is preferred. Please send a CV and the contact information for two or three references to Dr. Carmen Canavier at ccanav@lsuhsc.edu in order to apply for a  position.
