[Comp-neuro] postdocotral position in computational basis of collective decision making

Job Description:
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London. The postdoc will be jointly supervised by Bahador Bahrami (Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience) and Peter Latham (Gatsby Unit). The goal of the project is to develop and test (via behavioural experiments) computational models of social learning and collective decision-making. This will build on our previous work in collective decision-making (Bahrami et al: Science 329:1081-1085, 2010; J Exp Psychol Hum Percept Perform 38:3?8, 2012; Phil Trans R Soc B 367:1350-1365, 2012), and will form the basis of model-based fMRI analysis.

Essential:
PhD in Physics, Computer Science or Computational Neuroscience, or very near to obtaining a PhD Knowledge or strong interest in computational neuroscience, collective decision-making, and machine learning Strong programming skills in MATLAB or similar languages

Desirable:
Experience in web-based programming (e.g. Java) for setting up online experiments with multi-user interactions
Experience in model-based fMRI data analysis.
