[Comp-neuro] Job offer: Cloud Engineer at INCF in Stockholm

[sorry for the cross post]  Job Title Cloud Engineer / Systems Engineer  Purpose  Join INCF (www.incf.org), the International Neuroinformatics  Coordinating Facility in Stockholm, Sweden, an OECD-launched  international organization with the goal of coordinating an  international collaborative research data infrastructure for  neuroscience. The ideal candidate will provide critical  engineering expertise in the development and deployment of  critical mission and support systems. Duties will span systems,  networks, facilities, and security assessments and planning for  a research infrastructure across 16 countries.  Key Functions  The candidate will participate in the development and analysis of  new cloud computing technologies including distributed computing  approaches such as MapReduce. The selected individual will have  Architectural experience in the Cloud and solid System Engineering  principles.  Required  Education/Experience: BS and 5 years of related experience or MS and  3 years of related experience or PhD and 1 year of related experience  Desired  Education/Experience M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering,  Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and/or related technical  discipline. 5+ years experience in a technical field.  Required Skills  - iRODS, map/reduce, data cloud, advanced java, C++, analytics, linked data,    large data and deep analytics. Windows and Unix/Linux, Databases (Oracle,    MySQL, and others), and third-party applications  - Development experience with Java  - Experience in one or more scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)  - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.  - Ability to work in an agile, dynamic environment  - Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English  Desired Skills  - Experience with large data sets/analysis  - Training or experience with distributed programming environments    such as Hadoop/MapReduce  - Data mining  - Web services  

This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time and
involve some irregular working hours due to collaboration in different
time-zones. The position is full-time, based at Karolinska Institute
with a one-year contract and the possibility for prolongation.
