Internships: COMPUTATIONAL NEUROPHYSIOLOGY

The lab of Andrea Burgalossi at the Werner Reichardt Centre for
Integrative Neuroscience (CIN) in Tübingen is looking for motivated
undergraduates to assist with research projects on the neural basis of
cognition and memory.

We employ state-of-the-art methods for obtaining whole-cell recordings
from single neurons in freely-behaving rodents (Lee et al., 2009;
Burgalossi et al., 2011), in combination with anatomical, molecular
and optogenetic techniques.
Projects focus on the development of computational tools for automated
tracking of animal behavior, acquisition and analysis of
electrophysiological data (i.e. signal processing, spike sorting,
spike-train analysis). Candidates with quantitative background (i.e.
Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) and
computational/programming skills are particularly encouraged to apply.
