SERB School in Neuroscience VII
Focus: Electrophysiology
Date: 9th to 21st December 2013
Location: CNCS, University of Hyderabad
The seventh DST SERB School in Neurosciences will be focused on understanding the electrical properties of neuron, neuronal communication, neural circuits and how the information is processed, stored and regulates the behaviour. The aim of the school is to learn about basic understanding we have about brain function and tools used.
Course content:
The course will include lectures from experts in the field in India and abroad, as well as extensive hands on experience in some of the important neuroscience techniques including invivo intracellular and extracellular recordings from neurons, spike sorting, analysing multivariate data arising from such experiments, neuronal tracing, fabrication of various types of electrodes, neuroanatomy, modelling neurons and their network.
