2nd BIENNIAL UK NEUROINFORMATICS NODE CONGRESS

The UK Node is holding its biennial conference at the Informatics Forum, University of Edinburgh, from 26th to 28th March 2012. The aim of the conference is to bring together people who are already working in the field and showcase opportunities in neuroinformatics to people working in related disciplines.
The conference will have:
* Presentations from invited speakers
* Posters and Demonstrations including Poster Spotlights
* Contributed sessions from UK people working in neuroinformatics
* Updates from our Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
* Conference Dinner in the Playfair Building at Surgeons Hall including private tour of the Museum
* Discussions on the future of the UK Node

Sean Hill, INCF Executive Director, Sweden
Simon Laughlin, Cambridge University, UK
Read Montague, Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, USA and University College London, UK
Simon Schultz, Imperial College London, UK
Invited Sessions:
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Workshop - Chaired by Nada Yousif (Imperial College London, UK) to include talks from Peter Brown (University of Oxford, UK), Madeleine Lowery (University College Dublin, Ireland) and Christian Hauptmann (Julich Forschungszentrum, Germany)
Discussion on the RoadMap of the UK Node - Chaired by Marc de Kamps (University of Leeds, UK); The INCF UK-node is a summary of the state-of-the-art of neuroinformatics in the UK, and attempts to forecast important directions in future research. Marc will present a draft version of the roadmap, based on responses from the community.

Who should attend?
The conference will bring together leading researchers from around the world and provide an excellent opportunity for researchers at all stages of their career - from PhD students through early career researchers, to established scientists - to network and form new collaborations.

Registration is in two parts: registering and paying. (Registration closes on Friday 16th March 2012)
Cost of the congress is £75.00 which includes three lunches and the conference dinner.
Students will be reimbursed after the event if they present a poster/demonstration or give a talk.
