[Comp-neuro] NEURON 2012 Summer Course

COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT

What: "The NEURON Simulation Environment" (NEURON 2012 Summer Course)
http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/static/courses/nscsd2012/nscsd2012.html

When: Saturday, June 23, through Wednesday, June 27, 2012

Where: The Institute for Neural Computation at the University of
California, San Diego, CA

Organizers: N.T. Carnevale and M.L. Hines

Description:
In five days of intensive lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on
exercises, this course will cover the principles and practice of
the design, construction, and use of models in the NEURON simulation
environment. It is designed primarily for those who are concerned
with models of biological neurons and neural networks that are closely
linked to empirical observations, e.g. experimentalists who wish to
incorporate modeling in their research plans, and theoreticians who
are interested in the principles of biological computation.
The course will be useful and informative for registrants at all
levels of experience, from those who are just beginning to those
who are already quite familiar with NEURON or other simulation tools.

Registration is limited to 20, and the deadline for receipt of
applications is Friday, May 18, 2012.
